Advantages of SBG (B) Plastic Corrugated Pipe:

As a new-style pore-forming material, plastic corrugated pipe has the following advantages comparing with metal corrugated pipe:
SBG(B) plastic corrugated pipe, taking HDPE as raw material, not only has characteristics of acid and alkali proofing and corrosion resistance which is much more excellent than that of metal, but also don¡¯t corrode itself and can effectively protect tendon from being corroded because many prestressed structures endure severe environmental stress such as deicing salt or brine. So when the post tensioning components become ineffective due to the collapse of water proof layer, water-leakage of micro crack and blocking of drainage facility, the tendon will be likely to be corroded. In FIP Construction Manual, ¡°Grouting of tendon?indicates that metal pipe has not permanent antiseptic power and then cannot stand against the leakage of water and reach slurry and tendon either. While SBG (B) plastic corrugated pipe can provide a kind of screen protective action which is far better than metal corrugated pipe for tendon and prevent harmful substance from penetrating pipe, assuring the post tensioning prestressed structure owns finer durability.
Under equal conditions, frictional coefficient of the pore canal obligated by SBG (B) plastic corrugated pipe is obviously less than that of pore canal obligated by metal corrugated pipe, thus reduce the friction loss of prestressing force in the course of stretching. Normally, frictional coefficient of plastic corrugated pipe choose 0.14 but that of the metal corrugated pipe chooses 0.25; SBG(B) plastic corrugated pipe not only has high intension and trample and press resistance, but also is difficult to be chipped by vibrating stick. Besides, its sealing performance and leakage resistant capability are all better than those of metal corrugated pipe, especially applying to vacuum grouting.
